Being part of three worlds was difficult. She was part human, part vampire, and had a wolf for her kinda sorta boyfriend. She just couldn’t fit in. She couldn’t be in the human world because of her vampire lineage, she couldn’t hang with the wolves because even though they accepted Jake’s decision they didn’t like it, and even though she had vampire instinct to some degree and had to have some blood to survive, she still preferred human food. As she lay under the stars alone that night she wished she could have been born either full human or full vampire. But as the thought crossed her mind, she felt Jake in his wolf form wrap around her, and knew, even though she would never have both feet in one world, she would always be in his arms, and THAT was home.
