I was sitting with my husband of 3 years, watching television. I had never thought we would be here. I had been so consumed with Edward back then, the possibility of being with Jake never crossed my mind. But as I realized Edward wasn’t coming back, I also realized I valued my humanity. With Jake, he was strong enough to protect me, but I wouldn’t have to do anything to change myself, which I was grateful for. In between the popcorn, I felt a small thump against my stomach.

“Jacob, come here!” I all but squealed.

“What is it Bells?” he asked.

“Here, touch” I said placing his hand on my well rounded stomach.

“He’s kicking” he whispered softly.

“Yeah, and by the feel of it, he’s going to be just as strong as daddy” I giggled. Jake laughed with me and then kissed me on the forhead.

I’ve had many happy moments in my life, but was definitely one of the biggest. I know we will not always see head to head, and that we probably will have some hard times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love my husband, and within in a matter of weeks, I be delivering into the world the greatest gift God could have given us: a son. I don’t know I could be happier than this.
