Miss Honda was always bringing a smile to my face, but today, she made me do something I haven’t done in a very long time. She made me laugh. Her face was so determined, and yet she missed that ball. I felt like bursting with joy and laughter. I suppressed it for the moment, and I exited the room to allow myself to do so freely, as I haven’t laughed in so long it would be embarrassing.

Being her usually concerned self, Miss Honda eventually followed me out to see if anything was wrong. I couldn’t hold it anymore, so I just allowed myself to laugh. In front of her, I feel no shame, I can be myself without having to worry about putting on any mask or fake being nice.

“That was funny. Miss Honda, that was hilarious!” I said
She smiled and responded with

“You could have stayed with us. It’s nice to hear Yuki-kun’s laugh”

This brought a slight blush to my face, but I didn’t hold back any emotion. That smile on her face makes me want to move mountains for her.

I then gave her the white day gift I picked out for her, which were some yellow ribbons for her hair. She put them on, and I brought her close to me, but not too close so as not to activate the curse, and called her a princess.

Miss Honda might never be my princess, but no matter who she ends up with, she we always be the woman in my life. Not necessarily in a romantic way, but she will always come first for me, for she, is the woman who brought the joy back into my life, and the smile to my lips.
