Esme has been with Edward and I for a few weeks. Sometimes I regret changing her, but reassures me with her kindness that she was alright. She adjusted quite well to our way of living, and has yet to give into the temptation of human blood. I watch her come to me, and I think she has a question to ask about her change, but as she gets closer, I start to feel many emotions at once. She’s close to me now, and without thinking I kiss her. She kisses me back and I know I have found my mate.
