Summary: Kagome and Sango both go into labor around the same time in the winter season.

The snow began to fall signifying the coming of winter. The green grass and trees in the forest were now covered with white. Sango and Kagome were both heavily pregnant, both ready to burst at any given time. It was Kagome’s first pregnancy, but Sango’s third. It was rather cold outside, and the four friends were shivering in the hut that belonged to Inuyasha and Kagome. They talked about old memories and laughed, and sometimes the girls cried. The men found them to be a bit over emotional but did not dear express this out loud. Two pregnant women can be scary. Inuyasha noticed a change in Kagome’s scent and knew the baby was coming soon. Sure enough, moments later, her water broke. Inuyasha fled the hut in a panic, with Kagome in his arms, rushing to Kaede’s. He laid her down in the hut and told Kaede to help her. Kagome was screaming in pain as her contractions started.

Not moments after, Miroku had his wife in his arms in front of the hut panting. He too, laid Sango in the hut, and joined Inuyasha outside. Man, this was not a good idea getting them both pregnant at the same time. Not that they planned that, but still, they vowed never to do it again when they both heard the simultaneous screams of

“No more sex!” and “I’m going to kill you!”

After several hours of labor, the two women were resting, Sango with her newborn daughter, and Kagome with her newborn son.

The two sighed in contentment as their husbands were allowed to re-enter. Both fathers were happy to see the new additions, and glad to be reunited with their wives.

For Sango and Miroku, it was another blessing in their lives, but for Kagome and Inuyasha, it was a new beginning.

Their winter babies in tow, the two happy couples returned to their respective huts, hand in hand.
