Inu POV
When my mother told me that we’d be having Thanksgiving over at the Higurashi’s, I mentally screamed. Why couldn’t we just eat here at home like normal families do? As far as I knew, the Higurashi’s were my parent’s business partners, and I knew I’d have to be on my “best behavior.” What 18 year old wants to do that?
I reluctantly put on one of my best shirts and some slacks, pulled my long black hair into a presentable ponytail and got into the car.

Kag POV
When mom told me we would be having guests for dinner, I didn’t know what to expect. She told me we would be having people over from dad’s business firm, and that I had to be friendly. My brother Souta and I looked at each other and groaned. Another long and boring dinner with our parents and their associates. Another dinner where they drink sake and start spewing out embarrassing things. Great, just great.
I put on one of my best dresses, straightened my hair out, and made sure Souta looked presentable as well before heading downstairs. My mother and father were dressed to the nines, and I knew this meant serious business.
Moments later, the doorbell rang, and we all took our positions in the living room. My mother opened the door, greeting them with “Happy Thanksgiving” and all the other formalities. I smiled and did the same, as did Souta. I saw a beautiful lady come through with her husband. I was about to close the door, when I saw him. He was gorgeous! I extended my hand to say hello, to which he took, but didn’t really give much of a greeting back. I ushered him inside, and then went back to the kitchen to help out my mother.

Inu POV
We rang the doorbell of the Higurashi’s and I two older people opened the door. Behind them I saw a young boy of about 10, and then I saw her. She was beautiful in a green dress. She gave me a greeting which I almost missed, so I just shook her hand wordlessly before she walked away to help her mother. Maybe this won’t be such a bad Thanksgiving after all!

We all sat down for dinner, which was great I might add, and the adults started chattering. They started to talk about the business, but eventually the conversation switched over to children, and I knew I had to get out. I really didn’t want to stick around while they told embarrassing stories about me. I saw her squirm in her seat as well, and when I noticed them get out the sake, she excused herself. I waited a moment before excusing myself as well and headed the direction she went.
I found her in the kitchen leaning against the counter.
“I thought you would follow me here. My name is Kagome by the way. And yours?” she asked in a friendly tone.
“Inuyasha” I replied.
We began to talk about random things. I learned she was 17, just a year younger than me, and that she was currently attending one of the local high schools. I told her that I went to the community college just down the street from her high school, and we both laughed wondering how we never ran into each other.
After a while, she and I fell into a comfortable groove, and before I knew it, I was right in front of her. I leaned in, just about to kiss her when
“Kagome! Mom said to bring out the pie!” her younger brother shouted bounding into the room.
Damn kid!

Kag POV
Souta had the absolute worst timing. Here I was about to kiss one of the most gorgeous creatures on earth, and he had to interrupt us!
Annoyed, I pulled away from him, muttering a “sorry” and got the pies out from the fridge, and took them out to our guests. He followed me back to the table, and we both ate a piece, stealing glances from each other all the time.
Finally, our parents decided to move to the living room on the couches to talk, so Inuyasha and I decided to slip outside to talk.
For a while, neither of us said anything, and then he stopped and turned to look at me. I stopped too, and before I knew it, his lips were on mine, and we were sharing one hell of a kiss. I was in heaven! Oh my god the boy could kiss!
We eventually broke for air, and then looked at each other and blushed.
Finally, he spoke and said
“I think I found what I’m thankful for this year”
“Oh, and what is that?” I said with a smirk.
“My new girlfriend” he said smirking back and pulling me close.
“Is that so?” I said with a wide smile.
Instead of answering he kissed me again, this time more tenderly. Afterwards, he pulled away and said
“Yes, unless you have any objections?”
To which I replied “The only objection I have right now is that you’re not kissing me”
He laughed and then pulled me close and we kissed once more, this time with more passion.
We were so caught up, we didn’t notice that we had an audience.
“Ahem” a voice said from behind us. It was our parents. Uh-oh.
“Well, I can’t say I don’t approve. Well done son” his dad said with a knowing smile.
We both looked at each other and blushed.
My mother winked at me, and my father just smiled.
“Well son, we have to get going. Say your goodnights and meet us at the car” his father said.
My mother bid them goodnight, then smiled at me and said
“I’ll meet you inside.”
My father followed behind her, and then we were alone again. He looked at me and said
“As crazy as it sounds, I feel like I’ve known you for a long time, and I really want to see you more. You have agreed to be my girlfriend after all” he said with a sexy smile.
I laughed and told him yes. We exchanged phone numbers, and he bid me goodnight with one last kiss.
I went inside with a goofy smile, and turned to my mother and said
“Mom, this was by far the best Thanksgiving we’ve ever had!”
She laughed, and I went upstairs and settled for bed hoping to have wonderful erotic dreams of my new boyfriend. Happy Thanksgiving to me!
