I don’t know when it happened or why it did, but my feelings for her just kept growing the more time we spent together. At first I thought I just needed a rebound after Kagome told me she was seeing the Hojo character in her era and she was the only other female companion, but then I started talking with her and realized maybe this was the way it should have been from the beginning.

I have yet to confess my feelings to her. I suppose one could say I am embarrassed. For all I know, she’s probably still pining over that lecherous idiot. So, for now I leave her anonymous gifts as a token of my love for her, hoping one day I will have the courage enough to tell her how I feel.

I roll over and open my eyes, ready for a brand new day and find a bundle of flowers next to my pillow. I briefly wonder if maybe it was the monk, but then dismiss the thought, for I know he was out womanizing last night. I secretly wish it was my hanyou companion, but I wouldn’t dare speak out on those thoughts.

I don’t know when I started developing feelings for him, but the reality of it hit me when I saw him the other day shirtless after a battle. He was full of sweat and dried up blood, but to me he still looked beautiful….and damn sexy. But I will never admit that to anyone. For now I will just admire him each day as I walk along side him with the others and secretly wish that one day he might like me too.
