Everyone except Edward and I had a mate. Edward and I had tried the whole relationship thing, but it just didn’t work out for us. Then along came Jasper.
Jasper is our newest addition to the family. I have to say that he is gorgeous. He has amazing hair, gorgeous eyes, and a flawless body. Of course being a vampire accentuated these points, but I have seen pictures of his human life, and he was still just as gorgeous.
Being that we all live together and can’t sleep, we are constantly around each other. Being a vampire, I have pretty quick reflexes, but I have to tell you, there were a couple of times I thought I might falter at the sight of him.
Not only was he handsome, he was also very smart. We had gone out a few times on our own, but we had yet to make any kind of move indicating our relationship.
Which brings us to today.
I was taking a walk with him in a park, and he suddenly reached out to grab my hand. I happily took it, and I felt giddy inside. Even though I was old in age, I surely felt like a teenage girl in that moment. We walked a bit longer, talking about random things.
We suddenly came to a stop by a fountain. He sort of stared at me for a moment. I felt somewhat shy under his gaze. He reached out and touched my face with one of his hands.
I decided then, that I wanted to be with Jasper. He didn’t seem like he was going to make any more moves, so I decided to be bold. I got on my tip toes and pecked him on the lips.
I thought he wouldn’t respond, but before I knew it we were kissing passionately, and were starting to cause a scene. He growled possessively when a human male whistled, and picked me up, still with his lips locked on mine. He started to walk at a human pace, but once we were out of sight, he ran with me in his arms. Within moments, we were at home on my bed, kissing as if there was no tomorrow.
That night we made love and we made a commitment. Jasper and Alice together for eternity. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
